Warranty Conditions:
1. Window units must be installed plumb, square and properly flashed.
2. Unfinished millwork surfaces must be properly painted or stained, and properly maintained.
DO NOT paint weather stripping or hardware.
It is the Homeowners Responsibility to:
• Properly care and protect new millwork against moisture and excessive dryness.
• Assure that the top and bottom edges of millwork sashes are properly sealed, painted
or varnished.
3. Condensation is the direct result of excessive humidity. Under normal conditions, material
obstruction of vision due to film formation or dust collection between the interior glass
surfaces should not occur.
4. Any alteration of the glass surface (i.e. sandblasting or film tinting) will void the warranty.
M.L.C. will provide the repair or replacement part(s) according to the terms stated herein. Homeowner must pay
for the costs of the repair services such as the cost of replacement, removal, installation or reinstallation of the
window(s).
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
• With respect to the glass in the windows, any defect, malfunction or failure to perform resulting
from damage in transportation, handling or installation and/or stressed from localized application of
heat causing excessive temperature differentials over the surface of edges, or cause by settlement of
or defects in the building in which the window(s) are installed, fire, wind, hail, flood, lightning or
other acts of God, or exposure to harmful chemicals or pollutants, or in the case of breather or
capillary tubes when used in higher elevations, improper crimping and or sealing.
• With respect to the products other than the glass, any defect, malfunction or failure to perform
caused by settlement of or defects in the building in which the window(s) are installed, fire, wind,
hail, flood, lightning or other acts of God, intentional acts, accidents negligence or exposure to
harmful chemicals or pollutants.
• Defects caused by heating buildup due to the installation of storm windows over vinyl or plastic
materials.
• Screening material, or in the case of “Low-E” glass, claims that the glass, grid inserts, frames,
sashes or other parts of the window(s) are or appear faded, discolored, tinted or otherwise defective
in appearance.
• Defects in interior wood surfaces where the homeowner has failed to properly protect such surfaces
through periodic applications of wax or other protective finishes.
• Condensation or moisture, or evidence of condensation or moisture, on or around any of M.L.C.
product.
• Tarnished or discolored brass or brass plated hardware, when not properly protected periodically
with a paste wax or sealer.
• Rattling caused by internal grids between insulating glass.
The Limited Warranty extends only to the home or structure in which the window(s) are originally installed
and does not cover normal wear and tear and/or damage caused by improper installation, maintenance or
use.
Repair or replacement under this Limited Warranty is your exclusive remedy. M.L.C. shall not be liable
for the cost of removing, installing or reinstalling any replacement part. Repair or replacement parts are
warranted only for the duration of the Limited Warranty of the original product.
M.L.C. reserves the right to change, discontinue or alter any of its products, at its sole discretion. If any
model, part or component originally installed in any window in your home is not available at the time of
any claim by you under this Limited Warranty, M.L.C. reserves the right to substitute any other model, part
or component as a replacement.
